The main reason the Oklahoma City bombing occurred is because of the events that happened at Ruby Ridge, Waco. After the first raid of a Davidian compound in Mount Carmel, which resulted in the deaths of 6 Davidians and 4 ATF agents, McVeigh was furious about what had happened. This resulted him to go to Waco, and sell bumper stickers with slogans on them such as “Fear the government that fears your guns.” On April 19, the government forces deployed their attack on the Davidian compound which killed 74 men, women, and children. Shocked at the events McVeigh started to question the government, and decide he was the one to strike back at them.
